LSD in Pinoy Fitness 21K Challenge 2017

Surprise, surprise is how I should summarize this because I was not really planning to run here but my very generous friend sponsored me a kit. I also viewed this as a perfect training run for an upcoming longer distance race and because my kit was for Sub-3, I really planned to take my time to complete the whole distance.

Event details from PinoyFitness. There were three waves: Sub-2 (finishing the whole distance in less than two hours), Sub-2:30 (finishing in less than two and a half hours) and Sub-3 (finishing in less than three hours). Only successful runners who cross the finish line within the cut-off time will receive a medal.

First Run of 2017: PSE Bull Run

Hi everyone! I recently finished a 21-kilometer run in PSE Bull Run 2017. I actually ran out of kits for this so I thought I would not be able to join. I got a bit disappointed because aside from its perfect schedule that fits my training runs for my first full marathon (yes, I’m currently training for my upcoming 42km run. OMGGG serious na! #RoadToFortyTwo), I also pegged this as my run for the month.

Just when I thought I would not be able to join, a friend of mine told me that he was able to score two kits! And so without hesitations, I agreed to get the other one.

Unfortunately, I got sick the day before the race so I thought I would have a sloppy run come race day. Surprisingly, I performed better than expected. Read on below to know more about this “sick run”.

Completing Half Mary in SMDC Run 2016

Hi everyone! Two months ago, I registered for my first run of 2016 and my first ever 21-kilometer run in SMDC Run 2016, that was held last February 28, as a way to cap off my birthday month. Up until the race day, I was still unsure whether or not I can finish the run because I was worried about any recurrences of my knee injury which was why I suddenly felt the need to wear my knee support.

I told myself I would train for this race but then I went to so many events in the past few weeks that I only started to “train” (not even completing 21k) on the same week of the race. I am such a crammer, right?

Nonetheless, I am still thankful that I was able to finish the race safely and within my target time.
