From Summit to Sea: Mt. Balingkilat to Talisayen Cove

Hi! Last May 12 and 13, I went with my friends to a skin-darkening, thirst-inducing and stamina-draining hike to the beautiful but extremely hot Mt. Balingkilat, my 55th mountain.
Mountain Stats

Elevation: 1,100+ MASL

Location: Subic, Zambales

Difficulty: 5/9

Trek to Summit: 5 hours

Each one of us knew the usual weather condition in the Cawag Coastal Mountains, that is, very hot, so we made sure to come really prepared. However, it still holds true that no matter how prepared a person is, the real situation will still prove to be a tad more difficult. Luckily, we were rewarded with the best views at the top which made everything worthwhile. Read on below to know more about this trip.

First of Summer 2018: #LaLaLoveMeLikeCebu in #BoholNewWorld

Okay, I just want to include our self-proclaimed witty trip hashtags in the title. Lol.

As a first of summer 2018, me and my good friends, Tiene and Eid, went to Bohol with a quick trip to Cebu which was actually impromptu (not part of the original plan until the day before we went to Cebu. Talk about yolo). This fun trip happened last March 2-5, 2018.

We decided to go to Bohol because aside from the fact that I was not able to fully appreciate it when I was first there because I was sick, Tiene’s grandmother lives there so we already had a place to stay. Neat!

I was able to go around Bohol this time and I shall detail the trip in this blog post.

Birthday Summit to Sea 2018: Mt. Gulugod Baboy and Sombrero Island

Hi everyone, it took a while for me to finish this blog post because of external factors but as what they say, better late than never!

Last February 25, 2018, my friends and I hiked up a beautiful mountain in Batangas by the name of Mt. Gulugod Baboy, also known as Mt. Pinagbandirahan – my 54th mountain. My recent hikes have been relatively easier as compared to before because I wanted to go back to non-physically demanding hikes. Lol.

Mountain Stats:

Elevation: 520+ MASL

Location: Anilao, Batangas

Difficulty: 2/9, Minor Climb

Trek to Summit: 2 hours

This was my annual birthday hike and as per tradition, the trip has to have a beach side-trip. Read on below for the full story.

From Summit to Sea: Mt. Daguldol and Laiya Beach 2018

Hi everyone! A lot of good things have happened at the start of 2018 and I have been quite busy handling things from different aspects of my life. Luckily, I had a quick weekend break last January 20-21, 2018 which I spent doing two of my most favorite things – hiking (Mt. Daguldol, my 53rd mountain) and relaxing at the beach!

Mountain Stats:

Elevation: 680+ MASL

Location: San Juan, Batangas

Difficulty: 3/9 Minor Climb

Trek to Summit: 2.5 hours (5KM)

Because many of us have not hiked for quite a while now, this was just the right amount of difficulty to make us remember how it feels to be on the trails again. Just that, it also made us remember the essential things to bring during an overnight hike, only, a little too late. Lol. Read on below for the full story.

Zambalinis and Zambadventure in Zambales

Last September 16-17, I was finally able to go to the beach for some much needed relaxation with my friends/officemates. But before the relaxation, we volunteered through DENR for the 32nd International Coastal Cleanup which was simultaneously done in several countries.

It was just the perfect balance of work and play as we explored the beautiful province of Zambales.

Pangasinan Getaway

Hi everyone! This will just be a quick post about my recent trip to Pangasinan with my family. Even though it was just a quick trip, it felt really special because it is not everyday that I get to go on a trip with my family with all our conflicting schedules.

My sister and I planned a trip to Pangasinan since most of the resorts in nearer provinces (i.e. Batangas, Laguna, etc.) were already fully booked. Read on below to know more.

Hohol in Bohol

Hi everyone! Last May 12-16, 2016, I took a break from being an adult and went on a trip to Bohol with my friends. And because I was really excited for this trip, I started packing my things a week before our scheduled trip.

I had so much things planned in my mind but unfortunately, most were not done because of my bad condition on the days of the trip. It was unfortunate but at least I was able to see a bit of Bohol during my stay.

Read on below for the really quick summary of our hohol in Bohol.

Quick Trip to Pangasinan

Last Holy Saturday, my dad, brother and I went to Pangasinan to visit our relatives. We had to go back on the same day; however, because my mom and I still had to serve at the Easter Vigil at night.

Even though I knew that it was going to be a tiring day, I still decided to come along because Pangasinan is a place close to my heart.

Post-Climb and Pre-Birthday Trip at Boracay de Cavite

Hi! I just came from my first beach trip for this year! My friend decided to organize a post Luzon 3-2-1 (Mt. Timbak-Mt. Tabayoc-Mt. Pulag) event that also served as my pre-birthday trip. I was always out in the mountains that when I got invited to a beach camping activity, which I have not done since summer 2015, I readily agreed to go.

The itinerary was set from February 20 (1:00PM) until February 21 (1:00PM) and although there were complications along the way, I am extremely happy that this trip still pushed through.

Summer in November

Well what do you know; spontaneous trips really have higher chances of pushing through than pre-planned ones. Last November 3 and 4, I went with my sister and her friends to an overnight trip in Subic. I said spontaneous because originally, the plan was to go to Cagbalete in Quezon (I even made the itinerary) but due to some unwanted cases, we ended up in Subic.

This trip also happened in the middle of the week so I had to go back to work the following day. Nonetheless, I was still happy to have taken even just a quick break.
